Future Careers

Many students have gone from this program to either working within the field, (or attending) college. One opened a retail business in Fayetteville, WV using tools that he gained in our program to help become a small business entrepreneur.

Possible future careers:

Activities Director- Plan, program, and design activities/schedules for tourism operators.

Various Management Positions- These opportunities are endless and widespread across our industry. These range from Front Office Management positions at lodging properties, guest service managers at resorts, to operations managers at commercial recreation companies. 

Front line service positions- raft guides, front desk/reservations at lodging sites, cruise ship employment, server in whitewater.

Marketing- This is a position that one would build into using basic knowledge from this program. 

Entrepreneurship- Having knowledge from this class, motivation, and sweat, students can potentially open their own business.
